Innovative Respite accommodation

Heathcote Dementia Alliance initiated and developed Costerfield House, a fit-for-purpose, transportable care villa fitted with the latest artificial intelligence. The process took several years, with board members undertaking training in several areas, including environment, colour, and design, to ensure its effectiveness. Community consultation was integral, and an advisory group was set up to provide ongoing input.

The project generated significant interest from individuals and organisations. Recognising that construction is not its primary focus, HDA established a sister company, CareVillas Australia, to commercialise the care villas and expand their reach.
